About Us

Hello and welcome to Hiking Hounds! I am Joanne and please let me introduce you to my beautiful rescue dog, Bella. Bella is originally from Portugal and came over to the UK 5 years ago when she was 5 months old through a fantastic charity called Helping Paws. I went to meet her at the RSPCA in Brighton and fell in love. We’ve been best friends ever since.

Being able to set up my own dog walking business has been a dream of mine – being with dogs everyday, out in nature and seeing them so happy and content.

I am insured to walk up to 6 dogs at once and no more – a small pack ensures my full attention on each dog.

Your furry friends will be in great hands and treated like my own.

Walking

Weekdays / 2nd Dog

I can walk your dog on or off the lead and I can do individual walks if your dog is nervous or not keen on other dogs (Call me for a price).
Weekend / 2nd Dog
£17ph / £15ph
I can walk your dog on or off the lead and I can do individual walks if your dog is nervous or not keen on other dogs (Call me for a price).

Pet Feeding & Visits

Drop in visits for pet feeding for all animals, if you are out all day.

We can transport your dog to & from doggie daycare, kennels in style. Our vans are fully ventilated. Call for a quote. Cats are also welcome too.

If you are unable to take your pets to their vet appointment, we have that covered with our round trip service.

Important Info

Fully Insured
I am fully insured to walk up to six dogs at once and transport them in my van. The insurance is with www.petbusinessinsurance.co.uk which also includes public liability insurance.
Canine First Aid
I have completed the Canine First Aid training course level 3 with Canine Studies College. Covering all aspects of first aid including CPR.

Transport

Transport Van
My van has been fully fitted with cages and air ventilation specifically for dogs. Being an ex-police dog van it has been refurbished to a very high standard. The security and safety of the dogs is my number one priority.
Area Covered
Being based right in the middle of the South Downs we actually cover parts of both East and West Sussex. Give me a call or email me to discuss your needs.
